The major things that happened in the movies were fun to me. I mean, yes the main boss was taken out by the same thigns already used.. but damnit I love that effect. The Cell, Ghostship, Cube, Resident Evil..that slicing effect is so damn fun to watch.

I went in expecting it to be horseshit, because i really felt part 2 was. I know i liked part 1, but couldnt remember a damn thing about it except the lazer hallway. part 2 was just damn ridiculous to me, i dont remember parts but i remember hating it. I need to watch them all again to remember pieces, maybe thats why I liked 3 so much. I dont remember anything to tie the 1st 2 in.

breathing starts now....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-80856784957256672132007-09-30T04:18:00.000-07:002007-09-30T04:18:00.000-07:00I agree with basically every single thing you said...I agree with basically every single thing you said in this review.

Knowing what it was, I went in with low, low expectations. Turned my brain off to enjoy some mindless zombie action.

And yet, I'm still disappointed.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10114202046676145356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-72591253762299448292007-09-25T09:26:00.000-07:002007-09-25T09:26:00.000-07:00After she melts the chip inside the satellite that...After she melts the chip inside the satellite that's 10,000 miles away, she jumps off a building and kills a bunch of zombies without breaking a sweat. Also in the 2nd one, when she kills the guards, she seems perfectly fine too. So again, inconsistent.BChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06480847497966171794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-34857111491258434722007-09-25T05:59:00.000-07:002007-09-25T05:59:00.000-07:00I really wanted to like this and at some points it...I really wanted to like this and at some points it wasn't absolutely terrible. Milla is so hot I could watch anything with her in it, especially if she's half nekkid. But damn, she was NOT selling this role at all. It seemed like the cast was zombie walking through their lines.
My biggest beef with the movie is the Mike Epps' character. He gets nibbled on by zombies, knows he's gonna turn and yet says nothing. His girlfriend gets pecked by zombified crows and lets herself die because she knows she's a goner any way. And still he says nothing...WTF? So just because you're gonna die you're gonna let yourself become a zombie and kill your friends and some of the last few human beans on the planet? I found myself shaking my head in disbelief at the movie more than a few times.NonyMousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11583472598907630418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-59163129962804535142007-09-25T01:37:00.000-07:002007-09-25T01:37:00.000-07:00QUOTE::: And hey, you know, fuck the previous film...QUOTE::: And hey, you know, fuck the previous films... Extinction doesn't even address itself half the time. Milla Jovovich's Alice now has telekinetic powers, which are so strong she is able to disable a satellite orbiting the earth. Yet, 15 minutes later, she has to struggle to reach a knife. I won't make a "use the force" joke, but for the love of Christ movie, pay attention to yourself! And hell, if her powers are that strong, why fight at all??? Seems like you can just use your mind to make all the zombies go away.

Did you even watch the second movie? Alice had her telekinesis in the end, and whenever she uses it in this movie she practically goes comatose.

QUOTE::: and the established rules are only used when necessary (for example, a character who is bitten by a zombie takes a full DAY to turn)

In the games and movies, that little rule always depended on how healthy the person was, and also how many times they were bitten.
The person I believe you are talking about seemed to kept themself in top shape. Rain from the first movie was in top shape, yes, but she was bitten MULTIPLE times, and had lost a lot of blood, so she was extremely weak and wasn't able to fight it as well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-84103992524782359202007-09-24T17:16:00.000-07:002007-09-24T17:16:00.000-07:00I liked itI liked itAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-55833265424480795862007-09-24T02:13:00.000-07:002007-09-24T02:13:00.000-07:00I liked the way Romero did the scientist-trying-to...I liked the way Romero did the scientist-trying-to-domesticate-zombies bit in Day of the Dead.
