Other movies screened at the fest included;"The Thirsting", "Burial 45","Death by Engagement",Steven King's "The Road Virus Heads North and 30 other features and short films spread over 3 days.

"Resurrection Mary" was purchased by Laguna Productions for North America distribution in both English and Spanish. Additionally, the movie was purchased by Comcast's Fearnet for national on demand broadcast. The show played for 2 years on the cable network. It was tabbed "a hit" by the network executives.

"Death by Engagement" is playing on Cable now.

These are exceptional results for independently produced micro budgeted features coming out a film fest of any kind!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-12419140944601491242010-08-04T19:33:11.378-07:002010-08-04T19:33:11.378-07:00Growing up on the southside of Chicago, let me tel...Growing up on the southside of Chicago, let me tell you that resurrection mary is our biggest urban legend. That's gotta be the only reason that this crappy movie won at the Chicago horror fest. C'mon, Joe Estevez is in it. I do like a lot of b-horror, but I can't remember this guy being in anything even remotely watchable (and he's been in a sh*tload). Do you think his brother ever begs him to quit acting?Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09975984285410223395noreply@blogger.com
