I love it. I can forgive its shortcomings because I've stopped trying to apply logic to 80's slashers. If a movie is smart, that's a bonus, but otherwise I don't expect it to be. The kills are pretty cool, the music during the kills is so ridiculous and all the familiar faces are so likable, that it was a blast for me to watch. I mean, Academy Award winner Fisher Stevens, for Pete's sake!
And forget Anchor Bay, they were left in the dust a long time ago. Scream Factory is where it's at for retro horror fans. Their upcoming lineup is unbelievable, with John Carpenter's Body Bags finally getting a rerelease and Prince of Darkness getting the special edition love it deserves.
But I agree with you: I don't know why Shout/Scream don't list all the features on the back of the packaging. I just got Crimewave (the one missing hole in both my Sam Raimi and Coen Brothers collections) and it hardly lists half of what's on the disc.Greg Anderssonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16929457081087015165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-18908636578024780552013-05-19T21:27:53.624-07:002013-05-19T21:27:53.624-07:00Great review.

This was in the midst of breathing in as many past horror films as possible. Still, it remains one of my favorite slashers from this time period and one my favorite, if not my favorite, camp-oriented horror films (Sleepaway Camp 2 is up there). Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
