The glove was interesting, but I feel like the organic glove look was better in 2, since there was no glove on Freddy proper in the latter half of the movie, just blades that erupted from his fingers.
The first earthquake was fine, especially since it gave a real-world explanation to the cut on the husband's hand, but it was way overdone later in the movie.Vader the Whitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00220366772061668415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-29184808811798947222012-01-23T01:27:04.157-08:002012-01-23T01:27:04.157-08:00I did a paper in college about this movie and the ...I did a paper in college about this movie and the fairy tale/horror genre. My professor loved it and claimed he'd never seen it, but was going to based on my paper.

That said, I love this movie, and I seem to remember a teaser trailer with Freddy's "miss me" line in it, because when it came out, I was only 10, and still terrified of Freddy. This trailer was unexpected and scared the daylights out of me. I spent the ending half of the 80s terrified by him, and at that point NO I DID NOT MISS HIM!Catnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-89917331866835063322010-04-26T13:50:02.757-07:002010-04-26T13:50:02.757-07:00Yeah, the commentary, plus it's on the disc 8 ...Yeah, the commentary, plus it's on the disc 8 stuff, and he's told the story in Fango and such.BChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06480847497966171794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-77731368920488960492010-04-26T13:48:05.627-07:002010-04-26T13:48:05.627-07:00Nice review. Which is fun since Michael De Luca, the screenwriter for the 6th Nightmare, admitted having been inspired by another Carroll novel, "The Land of Laughs", when he wrote "In the Mouth of Madness".A.
