Especially since I have never heard of it. Planet of the Vampires deserves a place in line with acknowledged Trek inspirations like Forbidden Planet and Wagon Train. The film plays out like 'Return to Tomorrow' meets 'The Man Trap'.<br /><br />As for Bava he's my favorite out of the 3 top Giallo directors.
