I got a boxed set of all nine movies for, like, $8. Which is less than $1 a movie. Which I guess makes sense because most of them aren't the best. 3 has most definitely stood out as one of the better ones. It's a little more fun to have the puppets in a heroic role. Crossing my fingers for the sequel. toadmoadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12036042483585608035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-83453790010835515882011-08-03T15:14:13.787-07:002011-08-03T15:14:13.787-07:00Love the guy falling out of the window with the st...Love the guy falling out of the window with the stunt double that doesn't look anything like him. There's plenty of sites and posts on other sites such as imdb where people are able to put down a rather well thought-out timeline of all the movies.

Also, the most recent one, Axis of Evil, is probably tied with this one as the best in the series.Jeffrey Longhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10538559572535414820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-54484291647277921002011-08-02T04:13:01.647-07:002011-08-02T04:13:01.647-07:00Glad you liked it, at least more than the previous...Glad you liked it, at least more than the previous two. I read HMAD every day and I must admit that I was very curious to know what your opinion will be on that one! But I'm affraid that the next ones will disapoint you greatly.
Speaking of which: no, they don't work AT ALL when watched in chronological order, the continuity is WAY off. To be honest, the discontinuity starts in the third movie already, as in the first it was stated that Toulon shot himself in 1939, and this one is set in 1941. After that it just gets worse. "Retro" presents completely different origin for Toulon and the dolls (and I'm not so sure if the origin in part II blends well with part III). "Legacy" is 90% clip show, that's correct, but the new filmed scenes somehow manage to retcon the series to the point of nonsense (quite an achievement for about 10 minutes of new footage) - wait until you find out what was the puppets' "motive" all along... Fucking laughable. And I hear that "Axis Of Evil" is another prequel set during the WWII, and it shits on the continuity too. Hadn't seen it yet though.
By the way, I always thought that Blade was based on Major Krauss, at least his image. It was always clear to me that it was the intention. I never thought of Dr. Hess... But I last saw it about two years ago, maybe I got it mixed up.Crypt Dwellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06749238952873427771noreply@blogger.com
