(What an irredeemable cow!) As for the ending... Cillian does love his onscreen suffering, but this was laughable. (I mean really, truly laughable. "Overkill" doesn't even scratch the bumper here.) One doozy of a blunder with the foley work (not to spoil-spoil anything, but the sudden appearance of a normally VERY LOUD TRANSPORTATION DEVICE-- sneaky! gotcha!-- was downright silly) made it even worse. I'll be sticking with "Dead Calm"; this one gets the boot.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-2072481810359562682012-02-23T00:00:20.208-08:002012-02-23T00:00:20.208-08:00I also enjoyed seeing Murphy in a good guy role ag...I also enjoyed seeing Murphy in a good guy role again...must be something about killer viruses that brings that out in him.

But yeah, Retreat is totally solid but I can't imagine ever thinking of it again after, say, next week or so.Brett G.http://www.twitter.com/bg_ohthehorrornoreply@blogger.com
