Most horror movies don't even try to get that much character development, and of those that do, 99% fail... the only other scary movie that I can think that worked so well both as horror and drama is the Sixth Sense (which is too widely remembered for its twist ending and not enough for the fact that we connect to that boy). Awesome movie, and a template for future screenplays that want to blend horror and drama, glued by mystery - a formula that definitely needs to be more explored, but that is so hard to pull off.Augustinianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04178412157475414461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-66841153564517278722012-06-23T05:24:19.107-07:002012-06-23T05:24:19.107-07:00the film can be whatever but not certainly creepy ...the film can be whatever but not certainly creepy or spooky... i really found any interesting part with which i could connect myself with !MASTER OF EDUCATIONhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06787891470643250157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-6357362477355382692012-06-23T05:19:50.604-07:002012-06-23T05:19:50.604-07:00the film can be whatever but not certainly creepy ...the film can be whatever but not certainly creepy or spooky... i really found any interesting part with which i could connect myself with !MASTER OF EDUCATIONhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06787891470643250157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-11809218912588871092012-06-21T19:02:37.339-07:002012-06-21T19:02:37.339-07:00Really enjoyed this one, very well done. And your ri...Really enjoyed this one, very well done. And your right Katie Parker is a cutie!!! I want to see this yesterday.

It's true about most horror not getting the basics right, especially when dealing with teens or "hot" people. Most of those people I can't wait to see die horribly. It's a rare occasion that I feel enough for a character that I actually want them to survive.

The stuff you said about the horror elements being used to tell a dramatic story resonates with me a LOT. That's the stuff true horror is made of. Good shit.Sir Phoboshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14352238010072817884noreply@blogger.com
