Saw it in high school, re...My favorite Romero film. Saw it in high school, really liked its odd take on the vampire myth, and then watched it again a few years ago to see if it held up. It did. As for that drug deal sequence, it seemed straight out of something like MEAN STREETS or DEATH WISH, or a low-rent gangster flick, probably thrown in to appeal drive-in movie-goers. I also liked Romero's cameo as the priest who's a fan of THE EXORCIST. The first time I saw Halloween, I remember being slightly underwhelmed because for the most part, I felt I'd seen it all before. Luckily, the film kinda stayed with me and I looked forward to seeing it again - and then started to love it the next time I saw it, and so on...until it's become my second favourite horror film (after A Nightmare on Elm Street)!<br /><br />Anyway - will check out Martin when I get a chance.
