More then anything, I love how they depict death as a cross-cultiral entity in the hopital scene, where hes speaking creole to the old woman. Just as we (the viewers) start to see the humanity in Brad Pitts character (as hes strating to beilive it himself), we are brought back to reality (that he is the grim reaper, and nothing more) at the same time as the character. Ive never seen this done so well in any other film. The acting is perfect, the directing is thought provoking, and the ending is superb. Glad you did a review on this film. :))Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-80204021220026868982008-10-16T09:24:00.000-07:002008-10-16T09:24:00.000-07:00You're right, BC. Here's two guys, who is actually Death, and one who is about to die, relishing joys as simple as peanut butter and cake.

With that said: I could watch Brad Pitt eat peanut butter all day.

Peace,
AAlana Noel Vothhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15678764751722565458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-27475381831762396982008-10-15T19:20:00.000-07:002008-10-15T19:20:00.000-07:00you warned us (me and josh at the time) about the ...you warned us (me and josh at the time) about the laugh-part, and what did we do? we laughed so hard three or four people yelled at us.Miss Kolleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06606373833828939892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5110147752122772426.post-89678968153198143972008-10-15T18:13:00.000-07:002008-10-15T18:13:00.000-07:00i chose "Waterboy" as my phantom menace trailer ex...i chose "Waterboy" as my phantom menace trailer experience. it was a sold out showing and, as they showed the trailer at the end as well as the begining of the movie, you could tell who came to see the last half-assed decent adam sandler movie. i believe the answer to that is 12.

anyway, back to the topic at hand, as i have since watched "meet joe black" on television twice and refuse to watch "waterboy" since my "phantom menace" experience, i have your back on indefensibly enjoying that "little" film: the "Heaven's Gate" of death coming to earth movies.deepfixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05688617334074955669noreply@blogger.com
